Melanotan 2 Acetate
Melanotan 2 Acetate
A synthetic analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) that non-selectively activates melanocortin receptors (MC1R/MC4R). In research settings it is studied for its effects on melanogenesis (skin pigmentation/tanning) and, via MC4R, appetite and libido. Note: “Melatonin” is a common vendor mislabeling of “Melanotan” — this is not the sleep hormone melatonin.
